The Lotus
A Symbol of Resiliency and Growth...
The lotus flower starts as a small seed down at the bottom of a swamp in the mud and muck. Within the small lotus seed resides all of the necessary material to develop into the gorgeous flower it is meant to become. The lotus slowly grows up towards the light through the murky water, and rises to the surface. Once it comes to the surface of the water the lotus flower begins to blossom and turn into a beautiful flower. Like the Lotus, I believe that we all have within us everything needed to blossom and become our full self. Even in the face of extremely adverse conditions, humans are resilient and strive to move towards the light. Through the process of counseling, you can find the water's surface to bloom in the sunlight.
