Hello! My name is Shelby Wilkins and I use they/she pronouns. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and I am being supervised by Kim Powell, PhD, LPC-S. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. I have previous experience working with queer and trans folks, as well as survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. I am passionate about providing affirming and multiculturally competent care to connect with a diverse range of clients.
I use a relational, trauma-informed, and multicultural feminist approach to build a strong therapeutic relationship with clients where there is safety, trust, and mutual empathy. I believe that you know you best and I want to work together to make collaborative decisions on what the best treatment is for you. Together, we can identify your strengths, what you would like to change, and how to create change that moves you closer to your goals.
